Current Course

This month we start a new core course called Ethics and Integrity and our text: IntegrityIntegrity PIC by Dr. Henry Cloud. Integrity is more that simple honesty; it is the key to major successes. This book seeks to answer the question why some people, no matter what the circumstances, are able to pull everything together to have success. The study helps develop the six qualities of character that define integrity. According to the writer, talent and brains may help, but the real factor is the makeup of the person. All of us can grow fruitful relationships and achieve our purpose, mission and goals.

Your first post for Integrity will be up on the discussion forum by Tuesday, December 19th.

Reminder: Please submit your Study Guides for Ordering Your Private World to the ELP office, by December 31st.

Core Courses

We continue with our 3-month course Values in Leadership and our text: People First by Jack Lannom. The first acrostic is Logos. Logos is a Greek word that is often translated as wisdom, doctrine or logic. Logic is framed on the foundation of knowledge. If you are building a structure like the Sears Tower or the Empire State Building, you must construct a massively solid foundation before you can safely and successfully erect the magnificent superstructure. Knowledge is the very foundation of leadership. The Leader’s Leader provides a unified knowledge base that unites everyone in the organization.

Remember to fill in your Personal Action Plans at the end of each chapter. You will turn in these at the end of the course.

Level II Link – May 2016

Welcome

This month we welcome Michelle Sheppard – Pensacola Women’s to the ELP. Welcome Michelle!

Core Courses

Our next Core Course is Values in Leadership and our text: People First by Jack Lannom. Lannom uses Leadership as an acrostic to describe a systematic way we can “develop world-class leaders and pass on an enduring legacy.” Lannom says “As I began to compare and contrast strong, growing organizations with those that consistently struggle, it didn’t take long to realize that a company is only as strong as its leadership.” The first principle of leadership is logos meaning knowledge; leaders know what they believe and why they believe it and from this knowledge they promote the idea of truth in all things, wisdom in all things and excellence in all things.

This course is a 3-month course and will be shipped from our office. Your first post will be up on the forum on Monday, May 16th. You’ll make an initial post and then respond to someone’s post.

Oftentimes we do not connect the dots with how integrity of character really works day to day, and how it affects our real results in the area of life which matter to us most. In this book we will look at six areas of character that will help us to connect the dots. A person with integrity has the ability to pull everything together, to make it all happen no matter how challenging the circumstances.

Core Courses

Our core course this month is Conflict Management and our text: The Peacemaker by Ken Sande. This is a practical primer on how obedience to God’s Word can change deadlock into restoration in families, churches, workplaces, neighborhoods and even prisons. So often we see those who are not on “speaking terms” with other members of a family or avoid coming in contact with certain members of the church because of some problem that happened years ago. This study opens one’s mind and soul to the way of life Jesus lived and taught. There is a way to live peacefully with others without having to compromise the goals Christ has set for His followers, or members of His body.

Remember to print and fill-in the workbook as you go through the course. Your first post will be up on the forum Monday, January 18th. You’ll make an initial post and respond to someone’s post.
