Registration is now open for the ELP Summit, April 23-25. If you and your students are planning to attend, go ahead and reserve your spot! Remember to indicate your t-shirt size and the sizes of your students when you register.

Level I Adult

This month our core course is Core Values and our text: Our Core Values by our very own Dr. Jerry Nance. Our Core Values connect our people to our culture. We are encouraged to practice these 7 values every day; during our operations, our decisions, how we act and what we believe. Dr. J says “my prayer is that this book will challenge you to become a person of integrity and compassion, who is full of vision and faith.” “I trust you will apply these truths in your community, and practice stewardship, and servanthood.”

Level I Adolescent

Our course for the Adolescent track is Discover Your Purpose and our text: Chazown by Craig Groetschel. Chazown (pronounced khaw-ZONE) from the Hebrew, meaning a dream, revelation, or vision. You were born with your own Chazown. Do you know what it is? God calls us to live on purpose, keeping the end in view. God’s vision for you is bigger than you can imagine and impossible for you to do on your own.

Monthly Book Orders and Grades

Southeast region Rep’s can go to Google Drive and search for ELP Monthly Order Form and Grade Sheet Edited. Look for your center’s name in the tabs at the bottom and fill in your center’s information. No need to save or email the spreadsheet (Google Drive saves it and I can access the info from my Drive). If you place an initial order on the form and update the order later (i.e. add 2 more books) after we have ordered your books, please send Kerry Pevey (ELP Admin Asst) an email at kerry.pevey@teenchallenge.cc. Blessings!

Thank you

Thank you to all ELP Rep’s and Emerging Leaders who attended the Summit. It was a great time of worship, fellowship and training. Congratulations to Mike Randle (ELC) and Deanna Trujillo (Pensacola Women) on being Male and Female ELP Representatives of the year!

Level I Adult

It’s quite fitting that the next course immediately after a Summit is Servant Leadership and our text: Lead Like Jesus ServantLeaderby Ken Blanchard and Phil Hodges. “Jesus is clear about how He wants us to lead: He asks us to make a difference in our world by being effective servant leaders.” Servant leaders lead from the Heart, Head, Hands and Habits. The real secret to leading like Jesus is found in Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.” Remember there is a DVD and a Weekly Meeting Guide for this course. If you don’t have a copy of the DVD, email andree.aiken@teenchallenge.cc and we’ll send a copy for you.

Level I Adolescent

Our course for the Adolescent track is Self-Leadership and our text: Habitudes I – The Art of Self-Leadership by Tim Elmore. Our adolescents will learn about leading51i+vfRPCtL._SY344_BO1,204,203,200_ themselves first before aspiring to lead others.

Take the City 2013

We are so excited to announce that this year we will be doing our first ever outreach during our ELP Summit on Saturday April 27th! We believe that a major strand of the DNA of Teen Challenge is evangelism and want to be sure that we impart that into all the emerging leaders being raised up within our organization. During that morning we plan to send out the 150+ participants out into the city of Columbus, GA to try and reach the lost for Christ.

The major event will be in the downtown area where we will be sharing about Teen Challenge from the stage at the Market that morning. During that time we will have students sharing testimonies, musicians playing music and other things going on from the platform. We also plan to send out other teams to reach out to the homeless, the elderly, kids and even just the general population of the city.

The theme God has given our team for the outreach is “Take the City”. Our hearts are so filled with excitement to release such a large group into the city to share the overwhelming love of Christ! We believe that this is just the beginning and will truly stir up a passion for evangelism and outreach within each and every ELP Summit participant.

Please be praying for the upcoming outreach and that God would open the right doors and lead our Outreach Leadership Team to select the best places! Also, if you are interested in sharing any ideas or leading an Outreach Team during the event email – andrew.chalmers@teenchallenge.cc
