For those persons who are starting or continuing their electives, go ahead and put in your orders on the Google Spreadsheet ELP Monthly Order Form and Grade Sheet Edited.

Level I Adolescent

Our course for the Adolescent track is The Art of Self Leadership and the text: Habitudes I  – The Art of Self Leadership by Tim Elmore. This book is part of a series of 3 books. They are based on the fact that leadership isn’t merely one-dimensional – it runs 360 degrees – we influence others all around us. The leadership journey begins with self-leadership – we must lead ourselves before we lead anyone else.

Level I Adult

This month we continue with our core course Knowing and Understanding ExperiencingGodGod’s Will and our text: Experiencing God by Henry and Richard Blackaby and Claude King. Your students should be at the mid-point in their books so continue to press in with them. Have you considered doing an activity that will allow you and your students to experience God at new levels at your weekly meeting? When I did this course with a few ladies at Admin, we went for a prayer walk by the River walk. It was a beautiful setting to experience God with them. At the end of the time, we placed memorial stones at a tree – our commitment to continue grow in Experiencing God.

Level I Adolescent

Our course for the Adolescent track is Servant Leadership and our text: Help! I’m a Student Leader  by Doug Fields. Our text is set in the atmosphere of a youth ministry, but gives practical leadership lessons to help students lead like Jesus, figure out how to be more helpful, listen more, getting others involved and deepen their faith.

ELP Events

Seeing time seems to be going faster than I can type, I want to get these dates on your calendar for this year: our 10th. Anniversary ELP Summit will be April 23-25th and our Rep’s Retreat will be May 7- 9th at Lakeside Retreat and Event Center, Seale, AL. Look out for our Summit promo video next month. Please keep these two events in prayer and make plans to be there!

Level I Adult

This month our core course is Servant Leadership and our text: Lead Like Jesus by Ken Blanchard and Phil Hodges. Blanchard asks the questions “Who will you follow? How will you lead?” There is one leadership role model you can trust and His name is Jesus. There is a way to lead that honors God and restores health and effectiveness to organizations and relationships. It is the way Jesus calls us to follow as leaders: to serve rather than to be served.

Level I Adolescent

Our course for the Adolescent track is Servant Leadership and our text: Help! I’m a Student Leader by Doug Fields. “The backbone of Christian leadership is simple to understand yet very difficult to pull off: Serve. Master this task and you’ll become a very powerful servant leader. If servant doesn’t describe you right now, don’t give up. Read and pray and ask God to mold you into the type of leader He wants you to become.”

This month our core course is God’s Armor Bearer and our text is God’s Armor Bearer by Terry Nance. Support the vision of your leader and God will help you accomplish your vision in due season.  The study of this book and workbook will give understanding in just how to accomplish God’s plan as an armor bearer doing God’s will. The writer of the book served as an armor bearer to his pastor some twenty-five years with meekness and joy. Look for opportunities to affirm and celebrate your students when you see them practically applying the principles in this book.

Level I Adult

This month we continue with our course Knowing and Understanding God’sExperiencingGod Will and our text is Experiencing God by Blackaby, Blackaby and King. Your students should be about half way into this course and are learning more about being still and watching where God is working and join Him in His work rather than doing and then inviting God to bless their efforts. Look for opportunities to affirm and celebrate your students when you see them practically applying the principles in the book.

Level I Adolescent

Our course for the Adolescent track is Discover Your God-given Gifts and our text: Congratulations…You’re Gifted! by Doug Fields & Erik Rees. Level I Adult

This month we are starting one of my favorite courses Knowing and Understanding God’sExperiencingGod Will and our text is Experiencing God by Blackaby, Blackaby and King. God is inviting you to experience Him in an intimate love relationship through which He reveals to you His will, His ways, and His work. Through the biblical principles in this course, God can teach you how to:

  1. Know when He is speaking to you;
  2. Recognize His activity around you;
  3. Adjust your life to Him and His ways;
  4. Identify what He wants to do through you;
  5. Respond to His activity in your life.

Level I Adolescent

Our course for the Adolescent track is Discover Your God-given Purpose and our text: Chazown by Craig Groeschel. Chazown comes from the Hebrew word meaning a dream, revelation, or Vision. You were born with your own Chazown; do you know what it is?
