ELP Highlights – June 2014

My name is Cailee Dean and I am currently a student at Women at the Well in Athens, TN. God delivered  me from a 9 Cailee Dean WATWyear battle with self-mutilation. I was in and out of psychiatric facilities for 8 years. Doctors told me I was crazy and I would end up killing myself, but God had a different plan. He delivered me from death’s grip and has set me free. I believe God is leading me to youth ministry of some kind.  I desire to minister hope to teens and young adults who are struggling with self-mutilation and depression.

ELP has taught me how to be a godly leader and has given me the tools to walk in and carry out God’s calling on my life.

Rep’s Link – Dec 2013

Happy Thanksgiving folks! We are grateful to God for the opportunity to partner with Him in cornucopia-givethankstouching many lives and raising up the next generation of leaders in Teen Challenge. It’s amazing to see the transition from an addict to a non-addict, to a leader – passionate for God and going to work in His kingdom. Thank you Lord for every new birth of a life surrendered to you because of Teen Challenge.

Remember our next Revolutionized Leadership Webinar on Coaching will be on Fri, Dec 20th at 10:30am (eastern).

Level I Adult

This month we will start our 2-month course Knowing and Understanding God’s Will and our text: Experiencing God by Blackaby, Blackaby & King. Your heart will burn with a hunger for God and you will experience Him in a very personal way. Your comprehension of His will and purpose will be clearer and you will know your Heavenly Father as never before.

Level I Adolescents

Our next in the Habitudes series is Building Relationships and our text: Habitudes II – “The Art of Connecting With Others by Dr. Tim Elmore. Dr. Elmore says “everyone of us influence those around us.” Since leadership is influence, our student leaders will look at how they are adding value to others and making a difference in the world.

ELP Highlight – Dec 2013

Name: Justin BattertonJustin

Age: 30

Hometown: Ruston, Louisiana

TC Center: Shreveport, LA TC ( 5 yrs)

I graduated in October of 2008 from Mt Grace Teen Challenge.

I started using drugs at the age of 12, and it was a long, hard road. After 12 years of addiction and two felonies, I knew something had to change. I tried to do it on my own and was never successful. Later, my family told me about Teen Challenge. I came into the program in 2007 lost and hopeless. After a year in Teen Challenge I now not only have hope, but have new life as well.

After completing Teen Challenge, God put it on my heart to stay on as staff. Because of the grace of God, I am now Dean of Students and Teacher at Shreveport Teen Challenge. I am also one of the youth pastors at my church.

I believe God has called to full time ministry. And for me to stay with Teen Challenge and to also continue to be youth pastor at my home church and be involved in other areas there.

The ELP has helped me in a lot of ways with my Leadership. It has helped me to be a better leader. Not only is it pushing me to be a better leader but also pushes me in my relationship with God. It has helped me to be a better teacher, to be an assistant director to Shreveport Teen Challenge. It has also helped me become a youth pastor by training me in areas of leadership and Ministry.
